Get Creative with Color
Adding color can make a big impact. You don’t have to go crazy, but you can be creative. Try painting the walls a bold color, or maybe try that bold color on the vanity. You could venture to the floor and find some bold colorful tiles, or because the space is small, add some wallpaper to the ceiling. These colorful accents can be stunning and can be a curious conversation starter.
Add Statement Lighting
Make sure your lighting is on point. It’s a small space so it needs to be bright and inviting. You don’t have to go big, but you can be bold. You could add unique sconces next to the mirror. Top them off with Edison bulbs to kick the design up a notch. If your ceiling is tall enough you could really knock it out of the park with a small chandelier. And when you think of a chandelier, it’s not always crystals and glam. There are so many options these days that will suit anyone’s design style.
Thoughtful Finishes
Make sure you finish up your powder room with the proper finishes. The finishes are the final touch that can make or break the room. Use something bland and the look of the space will follow suit. Consider brushed gold or maybe copper. Use this on your faucets, vanity handles, and extend it to your flush handle and toilet paper holder. A unique finish can make a well-designed powder room really pop.
