Cate Ball, Interior Designer

 Delight In Designs is so pleased to share with you our newest member of our design team!  Meet Cate!!!!!

Cate Ball was raised in Greenville, Mich. She talks often about the carefree days of growing up in a small town…riding horses through orchards and running wild in the countryside.

She developed a keen eye for shades of colors and texture even as a young child, where she spent her winters working on the Christmas tree farm her father owned. The days filled with horse sleigh rides, hot chocolate and walks through the pines fueled her inspiration for soft palates and nature.

Raising a family with her husband, Mike, she put her talents to great use – nurturing creativity in her three children and supporting them in their own journeys. Her kids love to reminisce about their famous co-collaboration of elaborate 4-H costumes for horse and rider (Cate dreamed up everything from a complete summer picnic including a rider dressed as a bunch of grapes, a shotgun wedding, to snow white and humpty dumpty! As you can imagine… not a single horse and rider costume didn’t take first place!).

Cate enjoys a home filled with laughter, whimsy and gathered family. And her design features reflect warm tones and happy feelings. She thrives on making everyday moments in everyday homes for the everyday family meaningful with a little magic.

Outside of design, Cate is an avid reader, gardener and horseback rider. But most of all she is a creator. She loves to give things fresh life – whether it is turning wild landscaping into beautiful gardens, refurbishing antique furniture, or adding new accessories to freshen up a dated space – she sees the beauty and potential of things all around her.

Through creativity, design flexibility, and a willingness to listen to our client’s greatest wants and needs for a space, Cate’s greatest passion lies in the challenge of turning any house into a home that functions well and inspires those whom live there.

She is supported and loved by her husband, Mike, her three adult children… and her seven grandchildren!

We are thrilled to have Cate's talent on our team, her focus will be on kitchen and bath design, however you’ll want her design in every room of your home!
